So we made a very quick trip to Chicago and dropped my daughter off at Moody Bible Institute where she will be studying Linguistics and preparing for the mission field.  Our goodbyes were bittersweet…while I am super excited for her, I sure am gonna miss her.  The 15 days that she had here at home between here time in Mexico and the start of school,  just were not long enough.  Now this weekend we head to Christopher Newport University where our son will begin his sophomore year….we are empty nesters once again!!

On with my card….today I am playing along with two challenges! The Color Throwdown Challenge to use–Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, and Pale Plum.  Since two of these colors have been retired I had to dig deep but I found them!!  The second challenge for this card is the Seize the Sketch challenge.  Another fun sketch to inspire us!!

Card details:  New stamp set & matching punch,  mini stampler, and new star embossing folder that is coming out next week in the Holiday Mini Catalog from Stampin Up…Pear Pizzazz ink, Pale Plum Cardstock, Night of Navy ink and Cardstock…vellum which I stamped, punched out, and stapled into place over the green stamped tree…star brad.
